The best things in life arenšt things. In the USA they celebrate Thanksgiving. At least once a year people are encouraged to focus on being thankful for what they have. In Europe, no such celebration; no such focus? Focus today. Think of 10 things you're thankful for. Then think of 10 more. Cancel comparisons. Compare yourself not to others; when you are greater you may feel complacent; when you are lesser you may feel inferior. Instead, use others as 'Inspirations' to learn from. Become better by learning from anyone who's doing better. If you've half a mind to do something, your unlikely to do it successfully. Focus your full mind and Do it. For Parents: Children will never gleefully remember how well you ironed their pajamas. Children will remember whether you were their at that event, that school play, that... Had a disappointment recently? a disappointment has no power to diminish or to destroy you unless you let it. Instead: Analyse it. Learn from it. Let it go. Move on... Daily, direct your thoughts to be Constructive, Creative and Effective. 'Today I am thinking only thoughts that are Constructive, Creative and Effective.' Who chooses your mood for the day? You? Or the weather? Your weight. The grumpy people you meet? Let it be you. You choose your mood today. You may not be able to change The Whole World; but you CAN change your corner of your world. And that's probably enough for now. Many of us seek security. There is little security in this world. Our only real security is our inner confidence - the inner confidence that we'll cope with whatever life throws at us. Chuck out your clutter! If your desk is cluttered, your office, your house, your life, that can be bad. Worse - your mind is cluttered. Contrary to Humour-Rumour, a cluttered desk is NOT a sign of genius. 'Good enough' is good enough. Always focus on what you CAN do, rather than on what you can't. Who are you? Your 'real self' is not something for you to seek or discover. Your 'real self' is something for you to create. What Good News. What freedom. What... fun? Success (whatever that means for you) requires 2 A's. Not A's in school or exams. Success requires Attitudes & Actions. Start developing Right Attitudes and Right Actions - Right Now. The best way to predict your future? Create it. Everything you do today creates tomorrow. To allow others to steal your time is to allow them to steal your life. Guard your time wisely or your life slips away from you. Team leadership: Do not do for your Team what your Team can do for themselves. The only almost certain thing about change is that it's almost certainly here to stay. Be willing to question constructively, adopt adroitly & go for it positively. That is, only if you want to survive. (Otherwise, resist). Life's a bitch and then you - adjust your attitude.
